Overview

The tour is informal, organized for small groups, max 8 people. On the way from Amsterdam to Giethoorn we will cross the Dutch countryside, a purely rural and lakeside territory. In Giethoorn the shared boat awaits us, to visit the village through its countless canals. There is an English speaking local guide on the boat. The tour continues with a visit to the mills, Zaanse Schans, a demonstration of how traditional Dutch clogs are made awaits us, demonstration in Italian, Spanish and English. After we will go to visit the farm which will allow us to taste the cheeses of its own production.

Giethoorn

On the way to Giethoorn we can see the Dutch countryside, upon arrival we visit the town, the houses with the characteristic thatched roofs, the gardens and the lagoon, the various shops overlooking the canals within an hour by boat. even on foot.

Zaanse Schans

Visit to the clog factory with demonstration in Italian of how the traditional Dutch clog is made.
Visit to the cheese farm with the possibility of tasting and participating in the demonstration of how the dairy product is made. External visit to the mills, entrance is not included in the tour price and is around €6 for each mill.

Kissing Couple XXXL

On the way back to Amsterdam visit Kissing Couple XXXL to take photos of the relatively large statues that are installed along the North Sea Canal at Hempontplein, the crossing point of the Hempont. That place is also the terminus of the (Nieuwe) Hemweg. The statues are located along the Ankerweg. The (Nieuwe) Hemweg is part of a fast cycle path between the centers of Amsterdam and Zaandam, which crosses the ferry.
